Summary:

This individual will be responsible for providing reporting and data analytic support to monitor risk across Huntington’s product portfolios.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analysis of risk and risk related issues across the entire portfolio to monitor trends and identify potential areas of concern.

• Collaborate with Segment Risk, Product, Retail Support, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, and Audit partners to develop and execute data driven solutions.

• Ability to quickly learn the data environment to source data and query large datasets across multiple databases to create meaningful insights.

• Critical thinking skills to ask the right questions so analysis is accurate and actionable in a timely fashion.

• Ability to effectively visualize and summarize work product for a variety of audiences.

• Ad-hoc analysis & standard reporting delivered to key stakeholders.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with focus on data analysis and reporting

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in financial services.

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience using data manipulation tools such as SAS, SQL, R, or Python, Business Objects, or other tools to query large databases and manipulate large data files.

• Hands on experience using SAS for data analysis and reporting tasks.

• Experience presenting analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences to guide business decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAS certification (if not present at hiring, we will encourage obtaining Base certification within one year and potentially additional levels once on the job)

• Strong knowledge of and experience with other business intelligence and data mining tools such as BusinessObjects, Microstrategy, Tableau, MS Access, MS Excel, R, Python, and SPSS

• Basic experience with UNIX command line

• Experience with cloud-based analytics services such as Snowflake and AWS

• Knowledge of a variety of banking products and systems such as Checking, Savings, Loans and Credit Card

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently across multiple tasks while meeting aggressive timelines.

• Strong attention to detail and an ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
