WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD: Responsibilities: Develop effective communications materials and support successful communications strategy for local media outreach nationwide on a regular cadence, as well as times of urgent need. Successful support of communications material development related to Biomedical Services marketing programs and promotions. Produce and maintain high-quality internal communications through existing communications channels, including the development of a weekly e-newsletter and monthly presentations. Maintain success of and continue to grow employee blood and platelet donation program. Actively pursue ideas for compelling content that help illustrate the Red Cross story; Maintain and share content through content library ownership; utilize stories to develop written materials for placement with internal and external audiences. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field required. 5 years of related experience preferred. Excellent written and oral communications skills are required. Proven experience developing compelling communications strategy and tools are required. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required. Strong teamwork and collaboration required with ability to navigate complex situations with multiple stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in Associated Press style. Ability to work on a team. WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE Internal organizational communications experience Media interaction and pitching experience Non-profit experience Familiarity with/experience using Staffbase (Bananatag) Media relations and pitching experience, including news release creation and media placement The salary range for this position is $71,300.00 - $82,000.00/annually. This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.
