Summary of Duties:
Under direct supervision, assists in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business process requirements. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements under direction of experienced Business System Analyst. The Business Analyst-Associate will be a part of the Enterprise Project’s Business Process team and will work under direct supervision assisting in the preparation, communication, and implementation of a cloud-based enterprise resource planning solution (student, financials, and human capital management), one of the most visible and complex initiatives being undertaken by the organization. Participates in the discovery (scope/planning), architect (design), configuration and prototyping (development), testing, and implementation phases of the project life cycle for Ohio State’s business process transformation initiatives involving multiple technologies, systems, business unit functions and stakeholders within the scope of the project for ERP business processes. The Analyst will work with more experienced analysts to conduct reviews of business units’ organizational structures, workflow designs, processes, and systems and assist with identifying recommendations that will streamline and simplify business processes. The Analyst will support the objectives of the Business Process team, document processes and requirements, perform system configuration, coordinate, plan and execute testing efforts, and use a variety of project management tools to track and report status and progress. The successful candidate is an excellent communicator, critical thinker, motivated with a positive attitude, and able to work independently to gather and evaluate data.

There are four positions available with this posting.
Bachelor’s degree; 1-3 years of experience in system implementation roles where responsible for assisting in business processes. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, peers, executive leadership, customers, vendors, technical team members and others. Demonstrated experience identifying and documenting business requirements, testing and implementation.
Knowledge of financial, student, or human resources business processes is preferred. It is preferred that the candidate has a background with higher education, and/or with healthcare/academic medical center experience. Also prefer candidates with PMP, CAPM, Lean/Six Sigma.
Target Salary: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 Annually
