This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule and will be based out of our Columbus, OH location. Flexible work from home options available.

Job Summary:

Trane in Columbus, OH is hiring for an Area Contracting Manager to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for the administration, implementation, and management of the contracting fulfillment processes in its goal of operational excellence, support of overall strategic objectives, and accountable for the overall financial results.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that quality standards are maintained, after an order is closed, for contracting process and functions required for execution and customer satisfaction.

  • Overall contracting responsibility for the following functions within the categories of new equipment, existing building services, and building automation: order validation, order entry, order follow up, customer inquiry, engineering, submittals, project management, technical support, warranties, and resource allocations.

  • Develops or works with team leaders/coaches to establish required skill sets, talents, and capabilities.

  • Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and staff as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in facilities or HVAC systems preferred.

  • Experienced and knowledgeable in contracting processes associated with the installation of building automation systems and turnkey projects preferred.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to:

  • DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Base Pay Range: $111,450 - $148,050 / year. Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan.
