Huntington National Bank ACL Credit Risk Manager in Columbus, Ohio

Credit Administration has an opening for an Allowance Credit Risk Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring that processes used in the calculation and reporting of the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) comply with enterprise and regulatory requirements. The incumbent will work as part of the larger team to lead reporting efforts, identify and analyze credit risks, maintain process design documents and recommend an adequate ACL. This position offers visibility to senior management, enterprise-wide stakeholders, auditors and regulators.

Job Responsibilities:

· Responsible for reviewing quantitative model output to support quarterly allowance calculations and the annual stress testing exercise

· Assist with the preparation and maintenance of ACL documentation including inputs to the ACL Determination Document to comply with Heightened Standards

· Maintain comprehensive process documents

· Develop scorecards to assess the Interagency Qualitative Factors

· Lead the preparation of executive level committee presentations and board material

· Actively participate in allowance governance committees

· Interface with internal/external auditors and regulators

· Establish and monitor metrics to align with the Bank’s risk tolerance

· Contribute to the Bank’s quarterly Credit Pillar Risk Assessment (PRA) and Credit Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)

· Manage SOX governance activities including control review and control execution

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a quantitative discipline (economics, econometrics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, etc.)

· 7 years of combined financial services experience in credit, and/or risk management

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in SAS, SQL or other data analytics tools

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies

· Ability to prepare concise presentations to communicate analytical findings to a wide array of audiences

· Experience driving strategic insights from credit portfolios

· High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

· Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical skills and problem-solving abilities

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills

· Detail oriented with the ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines

· Effective cross-functional project, resource, and stakeholder management

· Familiarity with allowance regulations

· Ability to independently drive results with limited supervision
