What you need to know about this position:
The practice of nuclear medicine technology imaging professionals encompasses multidisciplinary skills, which use rapidly evolving instrumentation, radiopharmaceuticals, and techniques.
The responsibilities of the nuclear medicine technologist include, but are not limited to, an empathetic and instructional approach to patient contact, care, and monitoring: the procurement, preparation, quality control, dispensing, dose calibration, administration, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals”; the administration of pharmaceuticals including adjunct oral and IV contrast (under the direction of an authorized user); the performance of quality control procedures” and the operation of imaging, laboratory, and computer instrumentation.
This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week (considered full-time) and would work the hours of 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Position does include an on-call rotation for holiday coverage.
The base hourly rate for this position starts at $36.94. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
What is required for this position:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
Nuclear Medicine License from the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) Medical Radiology Services Program required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
In this position, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear; occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and push or pull. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100lbs.
