What you need to know about this position:

  • The practice of nuclear medicine technology imaging professionals encompasses multidisciplinary skills, which use rapidly evolving instrumentation, radiopharmaceuticals, and techniques.

  • The responsibilities of the nuclear medicine technologist include, but are not limited to, an empathetic and instructional approach to patient contact, care, and monitoring: the procurement, preparation, quality control, dispensing, dose calibration, administration, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals”; the administration of pharmaceuticals including adjunct oral and IV contrast (under the direction of an authorized user); the performance of quality control procedures” and the operation of imaging, laboratory, and computer instrumentation.

  • This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week (considered full-time) and would work the hours of 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Position does include an on-call rotation for holiday coverage.

  • The base hourly rate for this position starts at $36.94. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

What is required for this position:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Certification with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.

  • Nuclear Medicine License from the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) Medical Radiology Services Program required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

    In this position, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear; occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and push or pull. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100lbs.
