Job Description
We are looking for a .NET Lead to support our Mainframe Transformation project teams by applying expert knowledge of Microsoft .NET Core software development at RRC for agency business applications. This position will be a contract through August, 2025 and Remote .
Due to our end client, candidates must be able to work on CAI's W2 without a need for sponsorship now or in the future.
What You’ll Do
Develop software or forms components, recommend database schema changes, and ensure they adhere to client and industry standards, best practices, and customer requirements
Perform advanced analysis and programming work involving all technical aspects of supporting, improving, and enhancing client’s mainframe modernization project
Perform testing to verify that the product matches the requirements, including the creation of test data, test cases, and test scripts
Collaborate with the project team for sprint/release work on tasks such as providing development effort estimates, discussing architecture and design, triaging and resolving defects or issues in multiple environments, and providing status on work assignments or issues
Work across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure online form applications are developed, unit tested, regression tested and delivered
Prepare and maintain technical documentation as required (i.e., process flows, object or data models, project plans, environment diagrams, test plans, etc.)
What You'll Need
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
At least eight [8] years of experience in software development using .NET with C#
At least eight [8] years of experience in .NET core development, working in a team environment
At least four [4] years of experience in leading a team and guiding junior developers
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Must be available some nights and weekends for supporting code deployments and application support
Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to produce high-quality work in a dynamic environment
Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once and meet deadlines
Preferred:
Experience in using GoAnywhere – secure file transfer software
Proficiency in databases and MSSQL
Experience with Azure DevOps and broadly distributed version control
Experience in use of Visual Studio IDE
Experience in Telerik or Kendo UI controls
Adept at creating and maintaining Unit Tests and testing classes
Capable of resolving software anomalies and creating regression tests to prevent the reoccurrence of those issues
Experienced with service-oriented architecture (SOA) concepts, microservices, RESTful APIs primarily as a consumer of those services
Knowledge of creation and manipulation of .PDF documents or experience with iText
Previous experience with Azure multiple environment deployment
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
