ARAMARK Catering Services Supervisor - University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina

Job Description

As a VIP Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Catering Department in all duties including training new associates, overseeing event setups, and directing any temporary personnel in addition to their everyday

assignments. You will ensure proper service to clients during events, including proper set-up, cleaning, and breakdown procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  1. ? Supervises and leads a team of associates to successfully execute events, meeting expected service and quality standards. Assists in checking set-ups for regular and special events.? Ensures client and customer satisfaction. Assists in staging catering equipment and beverage items for daily events.? Breaks down events and returns house to original condition by removing all food, beverage, equipment and garbage. Maintains clear understanding of all aspects of VIP services.? Weekly Check Ins with the house management on upkeeping par levels house items that stay at the residence. Pre event set up coordination with the house staff to maximize efficiency? Meets with Catering Manager to see upcoming events that can be packed out and coordinated ahead of time. Leads all VIP pack out?s to be completed 24hrs prior to event start. Liaisons with the house staff for offsite presidential events for items needed to transport. ? Assist VIP staff for extra help they may need with errands or setups at the residence. ? Creating VIP pull sheet to encompass house items and Aramark items together for combined events? Keeps all Aramark equipment up to date with inventory counts and par levels.? Polishes all silver pieces quarterly. Ensures post events checklist gets addressed at venue ie, floors, cleaning after each event. Is a part of training with Catering manager for larger events to lead on.

Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions

  • Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year as a lead

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic

  • Maintain emotional control under stress

  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations

  • Strong organizational skills

Minimum Education/Certification - High School Diploma/GED

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
