The purpose of this job is to perform various skilled tasks in vehicle maintenance, primarily preventive and light maintenance work.
Essential Functions:
Performs service and preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses automotive problems.
Tests parts and systems to ensure proper operation.
Cleans and maintains workspace.
Assists coworkers as needed.
Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience(
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered):
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1 years of experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
Licenses or Certifications
Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with no air brake restriction within 6 months of hire date.
Motor Vehicle Inspector License.
Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Equipment Certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Engine components and systems.
Vehicle maintenance procedures.
Safety protocols and procedures.
Skill in:
Changing engine oil and filter, checking fluids, rotating tires, and repairing/ replacing parts.
Estimating time and materials needed to complete jobs.
Communicating verbally and in writing to meet the needs of the audience.
Operating motor vehicles.
Ability to:
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Use and maintain hand and power tools.
