Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the activities of the pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with professional rules and standards

  • Monitor and maintain inventory control of prescription and over-the-counter medications

  • Utilize drug information resources to accurately respond to inquiries from patients and healthcare providers

  • Advise and assist in appropriate generic product selection and substitution, maintaining compliance with formulary plans

  • Interpret, input, fill, and label prescriptions and drug orders accurately and efficiently

  • Counsel patients on the selection, storage, and use of medications, supplements, and health products

  • Accurately compound medications, using appropriate pharmaceutical equipment and techniques

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring patient satisfaction with pharmacy services

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • B.S. or PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited institution

  • Valid Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate board of pharmacy (new graduates are encouraged to apply)

  • Certificate of Immunization (ability to immunize patients)

  • MTS certification (if not upon hire, within 90 days of hire)

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong clinical knowledge of medication therapy management, drug interactions, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Proficiency in using pharmacy information system(s) and clinical decision support systems

  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
