Join our team as an OB Surgical Tech! As an OB Surgical Tech you will:

  • Assist in smooth daily operations of the Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit.

  • Assist with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice.

  • Function as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures.

  • Maintain supplies and equipment on the unit.

  • Assist with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment.

  • Perform clerical and business support tasks as assigned.

  • Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

Day to Day duties:

  • Scrub for C- Sections, D&C's and other OB procedures.

  • Set up and take down instruments for vaginal deliveries.

  • Cleaning, stocking, and preparation of patient rooms.

  • Stocking of equipment and supplies, assisting RNs as required.

  • Additional secretarial duties per needs of unit. Answering phones, door, computer entry in EPIC Software program.

Previous OB Scrub experience Preferred**

Births per Month- 230-275

# OR Suites-2

Schedule- 24hrs/Week- Days- Variable shifts per surgical volume and current unit needs

Some call required- Approx 3 call shifts per 6 week schedule

30 min call back radius required

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • One-year patient care experience preferred

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Basic computer skills

  • High School graduate or GED

  • Completion of a Surgical Tech program

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

  • Current Colorado Surgical Technologist Registration for associates working in Colorado

  • Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

Physical Requirements Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
