The Maximo team within the Information Technology department is hiring an MAS Applications Intermediate for IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) Administration. In this position, you will provide system support for our water, gas, and electric utility operations. The work that you do is critical to maintaining the data integrity, reliability, compliance, and security of our MAS System. Your curiosity, ability to solve complex problems and desire to use and build your technical skills will enable Operations to improve processes continuously, find cost savings, and solve operational challenges through the use and implementation of our MAS system.
You will be responsible, under guidance from more senior staff, for collaborating effectively with enterprise customers to provide best practices, development, and implementation of MAS solutions that increase efficiencies across the organization. The MAS system you will support in this position is integrated with other enterprise systems, which comprise a complex set of hardware and software architectures. This includes but is not limited to industrial instrumentation, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), financial, procurement, supply chain, and other software solutions.
Key Focus Areas:
Collaborate effectively, share ideas, and work towards common goals with utility operations, financial, procurement, and supply chain to support programs, projects, and initiatives using MAS applications
Provide MAS technical support in User Management, Troubleshooting, Core Data Management, System Configuration, and Reporting
Support the development, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting of custom solutions within the MAS application framework to improve business processes and increase efficiency across the enterprise, including integrations
Maintain, update, and troubleshoot configurations within the MAS environment
Perform MAS application patching, monitoring, and container management within the Red Hat OpenShift environment under established infrastructure and cyber security policies
MAS case management, able to work through tasks and issues for the business using the ServiceNow tool
Provides technical assistance to end users and help desk staff
Creates and revises reports, process documentation, training manuals, and data entry forms
Please note that the ability to work extended periods to provide operational readiness of the MAS system will be a required aspect of this position.
Highly desired knowledge/skills/expertise include:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-2 years of experience working directly with Maximo in one of the Utilities business functional areas including Assets, Chart of Accounts, Maximo Integration framework, Inventory, Planning, Preventive Maintenance, Purchasing (PR, PO, receiving, companies), and Resources (person, crafts, and labor codes)
Understanding of IT Application Technologies and its relations with Web, infrastructure, Networking, and DB Technologies
Technical troubleshooting skills
A strong Desire to learn how to configure and support the MAS Application
