Position Title: Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)/ QASP-S

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Reports To: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) / Clinical Supervisor

Job Summary:The BCaBA is responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and oversight of behavior intervention plans for individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral disorders. The BCaBA works under the supervision of a BCBA to ensure the delivery of high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. The role includes conducting assessments, training staff, monitoring client progress, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Data Collection:

Assist in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBA) and other assessments to identify clients' needs.

Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment decisions.

  1. Intervention and Treatment:

Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a BCBA.

Provide direct ABA therapy to clients, ensuring the implementation of individualized treatment plans.

Monitor and adjust interventions based on data and client progress.

  1. Training and Supervision:

Train and support Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other paraprofessionals in the implementation of ABA strategies.

Provide feedback and coaching to staff to ensure the fidelity of interventions.

Conduct regular supervision sessions with RBTs as required by certification standards.

  1. Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with clients' families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.

Communicate effectively with the supervisory BCBA regarding client progress, challenges, and any necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and professional development activities.

  1. Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including session notes, data sheets, and progress reports.

Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and regulatory standards in all aspects of service delivery.

Assist in preparing reports and documentation required for insurance and funding purposes.

Qualifications:

Certification: Active BCaBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Education: Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, behavior analysis, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience providing ABA services, preferably in a clinical or educational setting.

Skills:

Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques.

Excellent data collection, analysis, and reporting skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Proficient in using technology for data collection and documentation.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to engage in active play and physical activities with clients.

Capability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and sitting on the floor.
