Honeywell Sr Production Planner in Colonial Heights, Virginia
Key Responsibilities
Lead detailed capacity planning and constraining processes including working with commercial team on product allocation based on labor and material constraints in the near-term horizon.
Coordinate detailed scheduling with finite production planners for a rolling 2-to-13-week horizon, including balance production across multiple manufacturing sites within the network
Liaison between Operations, Logistics, and Commercial teams to balance weekly supply and demand
Ensure balanced, feasible weekly loading on critical labor and machine resources
Weekly tracking of critical resource and machine hours vs committed plan
Support site efforts on slow moving, aged, and WIP inventory reductions
Measure, report, and drive weekly and monthly master production schedule attainment performance at appropriate SKU, hierarchy, or resource level
Maintain MRP/SNP data views to clear past due or excess planned orders
Development and tracking of weekly shipment volumes against allocation plan
Notifies Supply Chain Manager/Global Supply Planner of any projected issues as well as mitigation opportunities including demand changes vs forecast/allocation or manufacturing variances to commitment
Escalation point for commercial team on specific order fulfillment timing questions
Partner with site functions to drive accuracy in site master data including recipes, BOMs, lot size, etc

In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.

MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in Business, supply chain management, engineering or related field preferred
Passion for continuous improvement to drive improved throughput, delivery, and inventory results
Effective communicator, influencer, and team player across multiple functions
Identify and eliminate waste in planning and order fulfillment processes
Team builder with ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, internal customers and external customers.
Strong SAP/ERP system experience. APO SNP experience considered a plus.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Excel and data analytics
Able to produce defined and measureable metrics to enhance planning and scheduling processes.
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously with strong bias for action
WE VALUE
At least 3 years of experience in production, asset, or materials planning with experience in discrete manufacturing preferred
Experience with complex bill of materials and multi-step manufacturing processes
Experience dealing with constrained supply and allocation environments
Demonstrated knowledge of Inventory replenishment and controls concepts
