69,700.00 - 109,700.00 USD Annual
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Production Supervisor – Night Crew
7:00pm –7:00am
Alternate 3 days one week; 4 days the next
The salary range for this position is 69,700.00 - 109,700.00 USD Annual .
Come join our Colonial Heights, VA facility where we manufacture Trojan condoms and Scent Booster in-wash additives.
ROLE SUMMARY:
T he Production Supervisor will facilitate the coordination of personnel, equipment, and product to meet and maintain safety, quality, production , and efficiency standards. Assures compliance with all FDA, ISO, and OSHA regulations, company policies and/or procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ( *denotes essential job functions) :
*Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety policies and practices, quality standards, Lean manufacturing practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Responsible for on-the-job training and orientation of personnel in the department.
Responsible for all operations of machines and follow-up with maintenance or engineering.
Maintain attendance records, counsel and/or discipline employees within Company policy.
Prepares daily production reports, Process Orders, Device History Records (DHRs), Primary Packaging Records (PPRs), Pallet Placards and other Testing, Primary or Secondary production records as necessary.
Reviews production documents and confirms that they are properly completed before forwarding to Quality Control.
Review operating conditions of all equipment and arrange necessary work with the Maintenance Department.
Monitor daily quality data to assist with troubleshooting any quality issues.
Assist with production planning and scheduling.
Be engaged in Lean activities and lead/ participate in Problem Solves as needed.
Monitors start-up of the various areas within the Department, as required .
Attend shift hand off meetings and other required meetings . Present to the group the current department(s) status to include: staffing issues, machine issues, product issues, quality issues, etc.
Requisition, maintain and inspect in-process supplies.
Perform physical inventories as required .
Perform other duties as assigned by Operations manager .
Work overtime as required .
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
PREFER R ED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Four-year college degree. At least four years’ experience related to this position in high-speed manufacturing such as in the pharmaceutical, consumer products, food and/or medical device industry.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to read and understand English; Able to properly Fill out required forms in English; complete and understand “read & sign” training in English.
Arithmetic skills in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. W hole numbers, fractions, and decimals .
Organizational, communication, and computer skills required .
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Lean tools and pr i nciples.
Able to use electrical and/or hand trucks, tools and all equipment safely.
Mechanical aptitude and understand machinery operation.
Must demonstrate good insight and ability to develop mutual solutions to challenges.
Ability to work and lead in a team environment.
Initiative to lead continuous improvement efforts.
Ability to maintain punctuality and predictable attendance.
REQUIRED TRAINING:
Must display proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must display, verbal, problem solving and leadership skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work from a sitting and/or standing position for long periods of time.
Must possess the ability to work with moving machinery.
Must possess the ability to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions.
Must possess strength to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Must be comfortable in a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust.
Must be able to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
Must be able to climb ladders and cross-over ladders when required .
