Are you passionate about visual attention research and eager to contribute to these studies? The Psychology Department at Texas A&M University is seeking a dedicated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct and publish original research under the guidance of our PI. Your responsibilities will include generating innovative experimental concepts, designing and programming experiments, analyzing data, interpreting results, and writing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, you will support ongoing research projects and mentor junior lab members. Opportunities to Contribute
Conducts original research under the guidance of the PI.
Generates novel experimental concepts.
Designs and programs experiments.
Analyzes data and interprets results.
Disseminates research findings under the guidance of the PI.
Writes and edits research manuscripts to be submitted to peer-reviewed journals.
Presents research at international conferences.
Supports ongoing research projects.
Mentors a small team of undergraduate research assistants assigned to your research projects with the assistance of the laboratory manager.
Provides ad hoc mentorship to junior and graduate students in the lab.
Qualifications
Appropriate PhD.
A well-qualified candidate will also possess one of more or the following
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field.
Strong publication record.
Eye tracking research experience.
Strong programming skills.
FMRI research experience.
Research interests that complement those of the Pl.
Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.
Special Note: This position is funded from grant and/or contract funding, which is renewed through provisions of the grantor of the contract. Therefore, this position is contingent upon continuation of funding from these grants and/or contracts, as well as satisfactory job performance.
