We are currently seeking a MongoDB Architect with a strong background in Java, MongoDB, and Informatica. This individual will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our MongoDB architecture to support our complex data storage, processing, and retrieval needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of MongoDB database architecture, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to define database structures and integration strategies for Java-based applications.
- Provide expertise in MongoDB, including schema design, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Develop and implement data migration strategies from traditional databases to MongoDB, leveraging Informatica for ETL processes.
- Design and enforce best practices for data security, backup, recovery, and redundancy.
- Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of MongoDB instances.
- Stay abreast of the latest MongoDB features and technologies, evaluating and recommending their adoption where beneficial.
- Mentor team members on MongoDB best practices and technologies.
- Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Prepare documentation and architectural diagrams to support design decisions and to facilitate knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven 5+ years experience as a MongoDB Architect or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful database projects.
- Expertise in MongoDB database management, design, and optimization.
- Strong programming skills in Java, with experience integrating MongoDB with Java applications.
- Experience with Informatica or similar ETL tools for data integration and transformation.
- Deep understanding of database principles, including data modeling, SQL, and NoSQL technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work on complex and cross-functional projects.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with MongoDB Atlas is a plus.
