Microsoft Platform Developer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience in developing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft 365, SQL Server, SSIS, and Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate and the power platform.
• SQL skills for data manipulation and querying.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Microsoft's certifications (e.g., MCSE: Data Management and Analytics) are a plus.
• Knowledge of data analytics, machine learning, or data science concepts is a plus.

Essential Functions

• Data Modeling and ETL Development: Design and develop data models and ETL processes using Microsoft 365, SQL Server, SSIS, and other relevant tools to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse. Develop automation and workflows to improve data exchange and communication protocols.
• Report and Dashboard Development: Create interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI and the power platform to present meaningful insights to business stakeholders.
• Data Integration: Work on integrating data from different sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files, to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize data queries and ETL processes for maximum performance and efficiency.
• Data Quality Management: Implement data quality checks and data validation processes to maintain high data integrity standards.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions to meet those requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutions for knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that data handling and reporting solutions adhere to security and compliance standards and regulations.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide support and resolve issues related to data integration, reporting, and data modeling.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
