We're seeking an Associate People Operations Generalist to provide key support for the People Operations and PeopleGO team (Shared Service Center) functions at Smartsheet. This position will assist with the new hire onboarding and offboarding processes, administration of Human Resources Information Systems (Workday), and process improvement projects to improve the way People & Culture operates. You will have a history of supporting employees while promoting a great employee experience. You will be part of the People Operations & Experience Team and will report directly to the Sr. Manager, People Operations. You Will: Coordinate the administrative process of the employee life cycle, including onboarding, personnel file management, employee inquiries, and offboarding. Assist with transition of People & Culture administrative tasks into the PeopleGO Shared Services team scope under the direction of the Sr. Manager or Team Lead. Partner with the PeopleGO team to ensure employee inquiries related to HR, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, etc. are answered promptly and correctly via FreshService ticketing system. Act as an Tier 2 escalation point as needed with employee requests. Act as a knowledgeable team member for certain regions' or entities' policies and standard procedures where Smartsheet employees reside (EMEA, APJ, Americas, etc.), with some general knowledge of all entities. Maintain documentation for internal processes as well as employee self-service materials. Support operating procedures and business processes within Workday or other people systems, ensuring data integrity Partner with the People Process Improvement team to continuously improve the Workday infrastructure to automate processes, implement web-based self-service features, and minimize administrative overhead Support other teams within People & Culture and the organization, such as Workplace Services, with special events, projects, or tasks.
