Position: Resident Assistant

Reports to: Wellness Director

Adheres to and conveys the community's philosophy of maintaining elements of self-care and encouraging independence Receives report from the previous shift and medication aide Completes required documentation daily Actively assists residents with all activities of daily living as described in our policies and procedures and the residents care plan Assist with serving meals and dining room duties as instructed Demonstrates knowledge of infection control via proper handling of equipment, soiled linen, bedpans, urinals, and adequate hand washing Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors including housekeeping duties as assigned Reports deficiencies observed in resident apartments clothing/linen and community in general Observes any changes in resident physical or mental status and communicates to the administrator or resident assistant supervisor Thoroughly familiar with fire, missing persons and other emergency procedures Avoids loss, breakage, and waste of supplies and equipment Assists with resident activity programs as assigned

Job Qualifications: 1. Free of non-treated communicable disease. 2. Holds current CPR/First Aid Certification if Required

Physical Demands: 1. Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 50lbs. 2. Ability to bend, squat, and climb stairs. 3. Ability to continuously walk or stand.
