Cleveland Clinic Surgery Radiology Technologist - ED X-Ray in Cleveland, Ohio
This position is eligible for X-Ray School loan repayment and up to a $5,000 bonus

As a Surgery Radiologist Technologist, you will use your knowledge and learned skills to operate various types of x-ray equipment to provide physicians with images to help diagnose conditions. On this team, your efforts can help facilitate a welcoming, calming and healing environment to relieve any discomfort or unease patients may feel throughout the exam process. While growing alongside your team, you can also explore opportunities offered through Cleveland Clinic, such as Imaging school or advanced MRI, Cat Scan or Ultrasound Programs.
A caregiver in this position works days/evenings from 8:00AM - 4:30PM or 2:00PM - 10:30PM, with on call requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform radiology exams and fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages.
Perform ED/surgical procedures (trauma cases, fluoroscopic exams to include vascular, general medicine, ortho, cardiac, GI, GU, neuro, pediatrics, and general procedures) in a sterile environment.
Produce images of optimal quality for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
Provide verbal and written instructions to patients and families on procedures as needed.
Assist in scheduling patients.
Monitor and determine priority of patients.
Ensure patients' safety and comfort during and after the exam.
Demonstrate the care and operation of radiography equipment according to technical specifications and applications.
Assist Radiologists, physicians and surgeons with procedures.
Have knowledge of acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images via PACS.
Have knowledge of billing via RIS.
Maintain documentation requirements to ensure that all technical data is entered timely and accurately.
Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires and radiology students.
Continually strive to learn new technical information and skills through attending periodic in-service programs and participating in professional affiliation sessions.
Rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities and locations as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Physical Requirements:
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
