*Position Summary: *The Legal and Compliance Paralegal will assist the VP and Associate Counsel of Legal and Compliance in managing the legal affairs of CHN and its related organizations in a fast paced, interactive nonprofit setting.

The rate of pay for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience (paid at an hourly rate; FLSA Non-Exempt).

 

*Essential Duties & Responsibilities: *

 

In this role, you will assist in drafting of correspondence, legal documents, and records, and ensure the organization and maintenance of legal records and legal entity documents.

 

Using your close attention-to-detail skills, you will provide paralegal support services, investigate and accurately communicate facts, conduct independent research and, under supervision, assist with review and analysis of legal and factual information.

 

In addition, you will assist with legal document management.

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Required:

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, paralegal certification or degree preferred

Experience:

  • Paralegal experience or experience working in legal or administrative office

*Skills: *

  • Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills
  • Must have knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Word, ability to utilize electronic platforms for document management
  • Familiar with internet resources, including general and legal research
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Other:

  • Self-starter with an ability to prioritize and complete work independently, but also able to work with a team and various internal business line clients effectively
