VGS is a highly acclaimed, successful, private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) vocational rehabilitation agency with over 130 years of dedicated experience serving persons with disabilities or other barriers to employment. We are currently seeking to hire a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for monitoring hiring needs for all levels of the organization from entry level to executive across Northeast and Central Ohio. Manage benefit plans including open enrollment process, enrollment, changes, terminations, monthly reconciliations, audits and compliance. Assist with employee questions, reports and needs as they arise. Specific job responsibilities include: Hold weekly meetings with hiring managers to discuss hiring needs and progress made in their interviewing process. Collaborate with supervisors to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Communicate with supervisors and managers to create job descriptions and requisitions. Manage relationships with online recruitment sources. Focused recruitment on veteran, disability, and diversity initiatives. Work regularly with the Development department to utilize social media as a recruitment tool. Coordinate onsite job fairs at various VGS locations. Collaborate with supervisors to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Communicate with supervisors and managers to create job descriptions and requisitions. Create job templates in ATS. Post job requisitions in ATS. Close positions when appropriate in ATS. Upon request, review applicants and assign appropriate disposition codes. Upon request, conduct phone interviews for qualified candidates and make appropriate recommendations to hiring supervisors. Prepare specialty reports, as requested by staff, using Paycom software. Maintain regulatory compliance with the DOL, EEOC, OFCCP, etc. Implement procedures to ensure the agency is in compliance and can successfully pass related audits. Create and maintain accurate operating procedures for all tasks Assist with projects as requested. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with HRIS, Paycom preferred. Knowledgeable in MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Teams Knowledge of employment law, procedures, and practices. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Able to work under pressure and meet work deadlines. Ability to multitask. Approximately 10% travel will be required as necessary to visit sites and attend job fairs.
