The Sherwin-Williams Company Finance Director- Integration & Excellence Processes in Cleveland, Ohio

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Integration Process Management for non- European Performance Coatings Group (PCG) acquisitions and non-PCG acquisitions Integration process support on identified deals; consistent with PCG EMEA Integration team processes. Be a key leader in driving integration execution on selected transactions. Direct access to SW senior management and newly acquired management teams. Drive ownership to specific actions identified in diligence to ensure value capture is achieved during the integration process. Work closely with European Integration team on sharing and improving integration best practices. Integration Process Improvement Tech Transfer Process Budgeting & Accountability from EH&S, IT/Digital, Global Supply Chain (GSC) Board & C-Suite Integration Reporting Lead teams of subject-matter-experts (SME's) in areas of identified M&A process opportunities (listed above). Develop process improvement plans, identify team members, track actions necessary for improvement and implement changes within new deals. Integration Process Tool Development & Training Continuous review and evolution of integration tools and best practices Engage with external banking and consulting resources to identify integration best practices. Seek ways to continuously improve S-W's efficiency to move quicker and increase our speed of execution - seek improvement opportunities to make S-W's integration processes word-class. Execution of Excellence Initiatives Ad hoc project support of impactful enterprise excellence opportunities Lead from a project management perspective select Enterprise Excellence Initiatives. Work with teams of subject-matter-experts (SME's) in highly impactful enterprise initiatives to execute and capture internally identified synergies. Leverage the processes, tools and mindset developed for acquisition integration and apply it to capturing internal SW synergies in identified areas. Each project intended to be 4-6 months in duration. Acquisition and divestiture transactional support Depending on the candidate's background, deal volume and projects in development, this role would also get exposure to all phases of the S-W acquisition or divestiture process. POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics Preferred: MBA, CA, CFA KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: Demonstrated process improvement oriented experience 7-12 years of financial analysis related experience. Experience in the following areas: strategic planning, competitive industry benchmarking, acquisitions, divestitures, valuation modeling, due diligence, and integration related activities. Demonstrated maturity in verbal and written communication with all levels of an organization, including the senior executive level. Demonstrated strong project management capability. Continuous process improvement mindset. Effective problem solving and the ability to process and analyze large data sets. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
