Kelly Services Dental Office Cashier in Cleveland, Ohio

Job Description

Kelly Services is looking for an experienced cashier for a dental office in uptown Cleveland.

Hours: Full time, 8:30AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday.

Payrate: 14 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1.Post payments and charges to patients accounts using axiUm (dental software). Collect and post payments (cash, check, MasterCard and Visa). Verify and enter payment information from cash slips. Verify that information in treatment plan is correct for correct fees, department and type of treatment.

2.Take and address messages or direct calls to appropriate person. Open mail and distribute to personnel within the department. Prepare and process daily deposit.

  1. Work with the accounting clerk 3 and department supervisor to coordinate paperwork for Ohio Medicaid and their agencies. Assist with the preparation of paperwork and cash slips to ensure payment.

  2. Process charges for second and third party billing. Create new patient account data for billing purposes for non-school patients. Assist in maintaining daily, monthly, and yearly financial records for clinic income. Assist in the implementation and documentation of accounting policy and procedures.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: 2 or more years of work experience in general office or customer service field with some cash handling experience required. Experience with American Dental Association and Ohio Medicaid codes preferred. Experience with medical data entry, excel and Microsoft office in a network environment is required. Accounting experience and/or working knowledge of dental terminology are preferred.

Education/Licensing: High school education required.

4.Knowledge of third party and Medicaid reimbursement procedures.

8.Data entry, proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

9.Knowledge of dental practice management software.

10.Must exhibit honesty, integrity and confidentiality.

11.Ability to interact effectively with colleagues, supervisors and customers face to face.

12.Ability to meet consistent attendance.
