Cleveland Clinic CRNA - Multi-Specialty Anesthesiology - Sign-on Bonus Eligible! in Cleveland, Ohio

Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking CRNAs for opportunities within the Multi-Specialty Anesthesiology Division at our Main Campus in Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland Clinic is recognized in the US and throughout the world for expertise and care.

This position is based in a hospital setting at one of the world's best hospitals, offering a wide range of cases that will challenge and engage you.

Most CRNAs typically work four 10-hour shifts per week. However, we are open to being flexible with scheduling if it aligns with the needs of the organization. Weekend or holiday obligations are infrequent. CRNAs are required to be on call in-house from 3pm to 7am, 4-5 times per year, as part of their 40-hour work week.

Our CRNAs frequently work with SRNA. OR responsibilities are shared with Residents and SRNAs.

Administers anesthetic care for the purpose of facilitating diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs and documents a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.

  • Develops and implements an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.

  • Selects, obtains and administers the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance and emergence phase anesthesia.

  • Recognizes alterations in physiologic responses to the surgical procedure and/or the anesthetic, takes appropriate action and notifies the responsible physician as indicated.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Graduate of accredited CRNA program.

Certifications :

  • Must have a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) and a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) from the Ohio Board of Nursing.

  • Must have current certification and continued professional certification (CPC) with the National Board of Certification Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) and State Board of Nursing endorsement.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) are required.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through American Academy of Pediatrics certifications may be required based upon work setting.

Complexity of Work:

  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of motion; manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time and the ability to lift and transport patients.

  • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

  • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.

  • Ability to work under extreme pressure.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
