Job Title: ACME Machinist
Pay: 25/hr - 30/hr
Shift: 6am - 4pm (Mon - Thurs, OT Friday)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team on the 1st shift from 6am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday, with overtime on Friday. The primary goal is to produce turned parts by independently setting up and operating machinery to meet customer specifications within our safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate machinery to manufacture parts according to customer specifications.
Maintain a sense of urgency while being organized and logical in problem-solving.
Work independently and as part of a team to maintain, troubleshoot, and assist in repairing Acme Gridley machines in mechanical and pneumatic areas.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
Read and understand mechanical and pneumatic blueprints, with the ability to read electrical blueprints being a plus.
Use measuring equipment such as dial indicators, height gauges, micrometers, etc.
Communicate necessary information to Management, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, other production departments, and fellow employees professionally and courteously.
Complete all paperwork neatly and legibly according to proper procedures.
Properly identify parts and enter production data into the manufacturing information system.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring floors are free of oil and chips.
Perform daily safety inspections on equipment, using proper machine guards and lifting techniques.
Essential Skills
1-5 years of experience with Acme Gridley/Multi Spindle machines.
Ability to read and use gauges such as micrometers, indicators, thread gauges, etc.
Possess own tools.
Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Reading, writing, and mathematical abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school is a plus.
1-3 years of setup and operations experience on Acme Gridleys.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. continuously.
Experience with Fanuc control, Gibbscam, Solidworks, CAD, and various machining centers.

Our facilities are temperature-controlled and include three separate buildings: a Machining Building, an Assembly Building, and a Warehouse.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52500.00 - $68640.00/yr.
