Aston Carter Cost Accounting Manager in Clearfield, Utah
Job Title: Program Control AnalystJob Description
The Program Control Analyst will interface with program managers, functional management, and cost account managers (CAMs) to provide financial and administrative support and analysis to meet program requirements. The candidate will leverage their experience and knowledge with Earned Value and performance measurement baseline concepts, applying them to multiple contracts for control accounts within an engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Responsibilities
Use financial systems and develop a basic understanding of accounting principles and hands-on cost performance reporting/analysis skills.
Develop and implement solutions of moderate scope and complexity.
Analyze variances/trends and develop new methods and process techniques.
Work under general supervision while completing numerous assignments per schedule and elevating potential issues to management.
Guide and influence peers and internal customers.
Represent the group on special projects outside of own group with good interpersonal skills.
Support the development of budget baselines and maintain cost/schedule integration.
Support preparation of budgets, schedules, and ETC/EAC; perform and/or assist in financial performance analyses and visibility reporting.
Assist in the preparation and submittal of monthly CDRLs such as IPMR.
Support variance analysis reports; facilitate and support the program monthly rhythm process.
Incorporate baseline changes into the EVM system while utilizing Deltek Cobra, SAP/S4, wInsight, Tableau/PowerBI, and MS Excel/Project/PowerPoint.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting with 5 years experience in financial analysis or industry-related fields, OR Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting with 3 years experience in financial analysis or industry-related fields.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
Experience with Earned Value Management Systems and financial forecasting.
Experience in Government Contracting with Earned Value Management (EVM).
Experience with business systems such as SAP and Cobra.
Ability to work on-site daily in Clearfield, UT.
Ability to transfer and maintain a final adjudicated government Secret Clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with the AOP (annual operating plan) and LRSP (long-range strategic plan) processes.
Understanding of US Government procurement and contracting, Cost Accounting Standards, and FAR.
Ability to identify issues and problems across multiple contracts and make recommendations to management for resolution or mitigation.
Work Environment
Onsite in Clearfield, UT. The work schedule follows a 9x80 shift, which means working 9 hours a day with every other Friday off, from 7:30am to 5:30pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $47.50/hr.
