In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our Product Supply Aseptic Manufacturing (PS AM) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The Position
The purpose of the position is to secure supplier performance & ensure compliance to supplier agreements for assigned material categories. This position is responsible for optimizing the Supply Chain for multiple production sites in North Carolina, including DFP Clayton & OFP Durham through data analysis, stakeholder management, problem solving & execution of changes.

Manager, Procurement & Sourcing.
Essential Functions
Category team management for the assigned materials categories
Drive category optimization across the inbound supply chain from supplier to Novo Nordisk production in collaboration with suppliers &/ or internal Novo Nordisk stakeholders
Drive tasks/projects within the relevant category
Supplier Management of the assigned suppliers of production materials
Monitor & drive supplier performance for the suppliers in terms of supplier adherence to agreements, supplier delivery on time, supplier quality performance
Negotiate supplier agreements & follow-up, where vendor responsibility has been assigned
Coordinate supplier audits (Q & RS) in cooperation with supplier audits & QA – & participate in relevant audits
Drive coordination when crisis management is needed to ensure materials are timely delivered to production
Supply management of the assigned production materials
Manage supplier capacity by establishing & coordinating purchase forecasts & matching supplier capacities to Novo Nordisk future production demands
Manage supplier compliance to Novo Nordisk purchasing related requirements, including completion of supplier related change requests
Drive & contribute to supplier/supply risk management in the relevant sourcing categories

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field. Obtained MBA a plus required
Minimum of seven (7) years of supply chain, supplier management or logistics experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment required
Project Management experience a plus
Proven experience within supply chain functions, i.e., planning, sourcing, procurement, shipping, & logistics within a complex, multi-national organization preferred
Extensive experience in supplier collaboration & management of cross-organizational supply optimization projects preferred
Demonstrated experience in practical problem solving & process improvement methods preferred
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in SAP or equivalent a plus
Project management a plus
Knowledge of US, EU regulations & guidelines, & application of GMP’s a plus
Ability to communicate technical information clearly in writing & presentations preferred
Experience planning, organizing, managing execution, checking results, & revising work plans preferred
Strong communication skills across multiple organizational levels preferred
