Graybar Corporate Counsel in Clayton, Missouri

As Corporate Counsel, you will advise the Company concerning legal rights and obligations.
In this role you will:
Provide legal advice and counsel on a variety of Corporate issues and complex matters
Interpret and supply applicable laws and regulations to Corporate policies and practices
Investigate and determine advisability of defending or prosecuting litigation or other proceedings
Advise the Company concerning business transactions
Structure, draft, and negotiate business agreements
Provide legal training to management as needed
What you bring to the table:
Minimum 1 year relevant legal experience required; 2+ years in-house counsel experience preferred
Admission and good standing with a State Bar required
J.D. from an accredited law school required
Knowledge of relevant areas of law
Interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze, interpret, and understand complex documents and financial statements
Ability to respond effectively and confidentially to sensitive inquiries or complaints
Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Ability to give effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to courts, administrative agencies, and/or management
Some travel required
Compensation Details: The expected starting rate of pay for this position is $93,000 annually, depending on experience. This position is also incentive eligible, based on specific and relevant business metrics.
