JOB SUMMARY:

The Bus Technician is responsible for diagnosing failures and recommending appropriate repair procedures. This individual will perform outlined work on the repair by the dealership and factory standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Five to seven years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • CDL license is preferred.

  • Cummins Insite, Detroit Axle, DD5 & DD8 Engine, Multiplex Wiring, and Braun Lift certifications are preferred.

    KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills are required for this role.

  • Must have the ability to train and must be able to work well in a group with others.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for an extended length of time throughout their scheduled working period. The employee is required to use their hands on a routine and daily basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and/or otherwise operate the required tools or controls. The employee must be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms. The employee must be able to safely work in all weather conditions. Given the frequent movement of large trucks through the workplace, the employee must be able to see and hear to navigate the work environment safely. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. regularly. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
