Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Accountant in Claremont, New Hampshire. The role involves monitoring cash balances, investment management, and overseeing borrowing processes. You will also be responsible for ensuring the availability of funds to meet operational needs and maintaining strict accounting for funds received from various state agencies.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor cash balances on a daily basis during peak collection periods and invest funds as necessary.
• Be responsible for city disbursements of payrolls and loan obligations.
• Manage the administration and management of City government funds, including the custody, disbursement, investment, and borrowing of monies.
• Assure that funds will be available to meet operating needs, affecting other city operations.
• Handle expenditures involving monies received from various state agencies, accountable to Federal and state funding sources.
• Maintain strict accounting for the outlays of public monies.
• Use accounting software systems and ERP solutions efficiently.
• Handle accounting functions and banking operations while overseeing cash activity.
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Treasury Accountant role or similar
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential
• Must be well-versed in Accounting Functions
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes is necessary
• Must have experience in Banking Operation
• Familiarity with Cash Activity management is crucial
• Must have a strong background in Finance
