Citigroup OGC Project Manager - C13 in Ciudad De Mexico, Mexico

OGC Project Manager C13

Functions:

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, execution, control/monitor and completion of efforts from conceptualization till closure. Must have excellent communication skills in order to negotiate internally and at senior level.

Build strong relationships with sponsors and owners, assist the team to orchestrate and drive the successful & timely completion of efforts to achieve the business goals, including the identification and resolution of risks and issues which impact delivery.

  • Manage assigned projects according to CPMC methodologies and aligned to market best practices

  • Provide guidance to business users and senior management about Project Management as well as facilitate, coordinate, and arbitrate cross-functional macro level topics with key stakeholders. Act as an internal consultant.

  • Prepare the project plan towards objectives achievement within estimate time and budget. The PM is responsible for the finished project plan.

  • Verify project plan responsibilities are effectively delegated towards aims fulfillment and track up to their completion.

  • Prioritize multidisciplinary team tasks based on their relative importance, recognize and communicate the plans adjustments towards project plan fulfillment

  • Monitor and control project execution.

  • Drive the successful and timely completion of projects to achieve business goals, including the identification and resolution of risks and issues that impact delivery as well as communicating to the stakeholders.

  • Propose alternative solutions to problems which arise on projects lacking direction and escalate critical situations. Escalate to Portfolio Manager when required.

  • Maintain communication to all stakeholders (including Senior Management) on a timely basis in a clear way.

  • Solve scope, time and team allocation problems with counterparts and team by designing priorities to accomplish more urgent and relevant programs/projects/tasks.

  • Assist on the solution of critical problems including requesting help from experts as it is required.

  • Support in the prospecting phase (inception) to define the Scope, Governance Model and Approach of efforts that will pass through the BoW process (Demand Management) according to the Portfolio Manager assignment.

  • Ensure consistency of deliverables and artifacts across assigned projects.

  • Support the Portfolio Manager in the tracking of execution of the assigned BoW, KPIs to maintain execution aligned to Business Strategy.

  • Adhere project’s PQA NCIs metric targets, Health & Spot Check, ARCMS, DQ Issues and other KPIs as defined.

  • Create an atmosphere where conflicts are identified and solved by avoiding emotional involvement in discussions within their assigned projects.

  • Maintain a professional attitude when it comes to facing resistance and challenges.

  • Employ different and effective approaches to provide adequate answers to different arguments.

  • Openly talk and reach agreement among others.

  • Boost dialogue and promote contribution from each team member within a positive and high-performance environment within their assigned projects.

  • Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area.

  • Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function.

  • Project Risk Management and appropriate scalation

  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.

  • His/her leadership by example is valued and recognized

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day proactive management of executing to milestones and budget on one or more projects.

  • Assess creation and ensure sign-off of project plan, charter, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log.

  • Work with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business goals and confirm project plans meet business needs as described in the project initiation documents.

  • Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand project schedule and key milestones.

  • Ensure all areas of the project are appropriately staffed and monitor project commitment from those assigning resources.

  • Escalate project risks to the Project Director, or Project Sponsor, when appropriate.

  • Ensure vendor performance is monitored and actions taken if performance warrants.

  • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.

  • Directly affects the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services.

  • Persuades and influences others through developed communication and diplomacy skills with colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.

  • Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Profile:

  • 5-10 years relevant PM experience

  • Banking Sector Knowledge.

  • Business/Process Consulting experience

  • Good Communication, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills to negotiate internally and at senior level.

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

  • Fluent English
