Job Description
This position oversees making sure that we have parts in the quantity and dates that we need to meet the production schedules without any extra cost. Will work closely with the materials specialist to react to production schedule changes to expedite material. Analyze engineering changes to determine the effectivity date of the change. In charge also to provide indirect sourcing and bids for services for the organization.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Reduce Excess and Obsolete of their parts.
Perform the scorecard review for their vendors.
Train vendors on the Supplier Connect program.
Reduce air freight expenses.
Expedite critical parts to meet production schedule.
Work on engineering changes.
Bid for services required by the different departments.
Bargain for the best option regarding costs and quality.
REQUIREMENTS Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree
Bilingual English and Spanish
Work Experience Required:
3 years experience as a buyer or expeditor.
Microsoft Office and SAP, preferred.
Advanced English.
Team player.
Work well with numbers.
Detail oriented.
Organized and professional.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Project management skills.
Supplier Connect, preferred.
Report manager, preferred.
S kills & Knowledge Required:
ISO 9001: Quality and EHS Policies.
ISO 14001: Water Conservation, Segregation, Aspect & Impact, Contamination and control ground prevention, Energy conservation.
OSHAS 18001: Hazardous & Risk Matrix, Emergency Evacuation Plan, Personal Protective Equipment, Hazardous substances (Use and handling); Signal and color codes.
