Description
Manage the financial aspects of grants, including budgeting, tracking expenses, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
Prepare financial reports for grantors, providing detailed information on how grant funds are utilized.
Monitor grant spending to ensure it aligns with approved budgets and grant guidelines.
Work closely with program managers and grant administrators to develop budgets for grant proposals.
Perform regular reconciliations of grant accounts and address any discrepancies.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during grant audits.
Stay updated on grant regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
Provide guidance and training to staff involved in grant-related activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Previous experience in grant accounting or fund accounting preferred.
Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of grant regulations and compliance requirements.
