Aerotek Shop Technician/Finisher in Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Title: Shop Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Shop Technician to join our team. Positions are available for both 1st and 3rd shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for grinding, masking, blending, polishing, and cleaning aero and non-aero engine components to ensure compliance with specifications and operation sheets. The position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $25 to $33.

Responsibilities

  • Grind, mask, blend, polish, and clean aero and non-aero engine components to ensure compliance with specifications and operation sheets.

  • Perform initial teardown of incoming parts.

  • Execute blending operations for in-process and final finishing.

  • Maintain and clean parts per supplied procedures and instructions.

  • Keep work areas safe, clean, and orderly.

  • Receive, review, and refer to various records and reports.

  • Interact and communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and other shop personnel.

  • Perform composite repair and general part deburring.

  • Conduct component assembly and disassembly.

  • Enhance surface finishes.

  • Adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards.

Essential Skills

  • Experience using hand and power tools.

  • Proficiency in finishing techniques such as polishing, deburring, grinding, and masking.

  • Ability to work off work orders.

  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Composite repair skills.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Experience with mechanical assembly, sanding, epoxy, industrial machinery, sheet metal, drilling, and deburring.

  • Familiarity with aerospace components and composite manufacturing.

  • Proficiency in operating machinery and general production.

Work Environment

Work in a FAA 145 Repair and Overhaul station, supporting the F-110 Engine overhaul program for F15 & F16 aircraft. The facility will be relocating to Ohio within the next year. Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. 2nd Shift: Monday to Thursday, 4:30 pm to 2:30 am, and Friday, 4:30 pm to 12:30 am. Employees must be willing to submit to random drug and alcohol testing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
