Geosyntec is growing and we are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer in our Milwaukee, WI, St. Louis, MO, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Grand Rapids, MI, Indianapolis, IN, Columbus or Cincinnati, OH offices to serve as a technical manager in the Structural Engineering Department of our Geostructural and Construction Engineering practice. As a member of our growing practice, you will be asked to apply your knowledge of structural engineering to series of technically diverse and unique construction projects. As the technical manager your job will be to provide technical oversight and lead the design team through the engineering process and plan development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide technical guidance throughout the design process, often serving as the senior reviewer of calculations and structural models. Provide quality control of construction documents. Assisting and Training Early and Mid-Career professionals with CAD coordination and plan development for particularly unique challenges while serving as the Task/Project manager, maintaining control of the design process throughout. Be able to serve as Engineer of Record. Contribute as required as a designer/analyst. Structural value engineering, third party design and constructability review, and risk assessment. Structural Condition Assessments. Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural engineering focus. (required) Master's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural). (preferred) Professional registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.). (required) Professional registration as a Structural Engineer (S.E.) (preferred) Skills, Experience and Qualifications At least 8 years (10+ preferred) directly relevant experience in a design environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
