Job Description

The role of the Executive Communications Leader is to help a senior leader communicate with one voice consistently and authentically internally and externally and in doing so help build the business.

The leader should be an energetic self-starter who has a strong track record in producing high-quality, crisp messaging and presentations for senior executives, a demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential information, exemplary organizational skills, and an uncompromising eye for quality and detail while working on several projects simultaneously.

The senior communications manager will play a critical role in supporting a president-level executive with the goal of achieving the following objectives:

· Drive leadership visibility and equity . Our executives set the tone of the business and the mood of the organization. Through their words and actions, they can inspire and engage employees.

· Build P&G Global Business Services (GBS) Reputation and Influence. Drive P&G GBS thought leadership and strategic key messages to internal and external audiences.

· Foster an informed and engaged organization equipped to deliver results and thrive within the organization.

· Develop mastery with the ability to provide wise counsel to GBS leadership on a variety of communications and business-related topics to aid in propelling the business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

· Executive Communications : Co-lead the execution of an internal and external executive communications strategy for the president of Global Business Services. This includes the creation of presentation materials, speeches, written communications, video content development, and event management as well as development of externally visible content.

· Internal Employee Communications : Develop high quality employee communication materials for use in informing, enrolling, and inspiring GBS employees globally.

· Communications Counsel : Provide counsel, guidance, and editing expertise of employee-relevant material in partnership with respective subject matter experts.

· Resource for GBS Leaders : Develop understanding of P&G GBS services and operations as well as understanding of the workings of the organization to be positioned as a valued source of counsel for leadership.

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be passionate about people and the written word and possess the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication Skills. Must be able to develop clear, concise, and well-organized communications for use internally and externally with superior executional delivery. This includes speechwriting, PowerPoint presentation creation, written executive messages, and event management. Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and in message track development is required. Strong understanding and use of the English language.

  • Has experience in developing and implementing communication strategies. Takes a strategic approach in developing communications plans to achieve business and organization outcomes.

  • Possesses high level of professionalism, strong leadership presence, emotional and contextual intelligence, integrative thinking and collaboration skills.

  • Builds positive and collaborative relationships internally and externally across geographic and organizational levels and boundaries.

  • Learns quickly with ability to internalize and apply a leader’s unique voice across a range of communications channels and topic areas as well as the ability to translate business results and information into easily digestible messages suitable for broad audiences.

  • Embraces a robust workplan that is a mix of strategic and executional deliverables and thrives in fast-paced environment where priorities shift rapidly due to business demands.

  • Innately curious, loves learning about new spaces as part of long-term growth and development.

  • Operates with a sense of urgency, is highly responsive, stays ahead of deadlines, and demonstrates excellent execution and follow-through.

  • Is respectful of confidential materials.

You may qualify for this role if you have a u niversity degree (M.Sc./B.Sc./B.BA) in communication/journalism/business or related field and 5 to 7 years of experience in communications including proven ability to support senior level executives.

Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
