The Department of Radiology is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff. Our rapidly growing team is seeking a full-time, office-based Research Data Analyst to join our growing team in the Department of Radiology. As a Research Data Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting various research projects utilizing Python programming, MySQL database management, and REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) software. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in medical imaging and radiology. Essential Functions Assist in the development and testing of trial/study imaging informatics pipelines. Develop custom scripts and tools for specific research needs. Maintain MySQL databases ensuring data integrity and security. Configure and customize REDCap projects to capture and manage research data according to study requirements. Develop REDCap reporting functionalities to facilitate data analysis and dissemination. Provide technical support and training to research staff. Design and implement algorithms for data preprocessing, feature extraction, and statistical analysis. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and execute research studies. Assist study/trial team with various research related tasks. Help the study/trial team in preparation of the data for DSMB, manuscripts for publication and/or presentation at national meetings. Required Education Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Statistics, Math, Computer Science or related field. Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Three (3) years of experience in managing large data sets, analyzing statistical techniques and software, and reporting data in a meaningful format. Additional Qualifications Considered Master's Degree or higher training. 1 - 2 years working experience in a medical, academic or radiology or neurology environment. Strong proficiency in Python programming and experience with scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy. Proficiency in MySQL database management, including database design, querying, and optimization. Familiarity with REDCap is highly desirable.
