Quality Specialist position available with a growing company in the greater Cincinnati Ohio

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform activities that support the execution of quality management system requirements related to the management of nonconforming material including receiving, investigating, and analyzing customer quality concerns to drive root cause analysis.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as customers’ contact for quality concerns.

  • Works closely with the customer, order entry, shipping, and accounting to bring resolution to customer issues via return authorizations, replacement orders, and credits.

  • Nonconforming Material management activities (creation, processing, and closure).

  • Ensure quality system records are complete, accurate, and comply with procedures.

  • Work with all other departments and personnel to troubleshoot quality concerns.

  • Work within our MRP system to process returns by issuing return material authorization and validating returns; enter replacement orders or create debit memos to assist in customer dispute resolution.

  • Responsible for inspection of return materials entering the plant.

  • Participate in root cause investigations of customer complaints and help execute countermeasures to minimize repeat issues.

  • Initiate Corrective Action Reports and assist through the process to completion.

  • Responsible for organizing and filing of return material documentation.

  • Work with other groups to organize and review documentation (such as work instructions) for accuracy.

  • Assist in maintaining a quality system (such as ISO 9001).

  • Attends all required meetings and training.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Applicable experience will be considered.

  • 5+ years experience working in a role involving Quality, such as ISO 9001, and handling RMAs.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • MS Office programs including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook. Also, needs to learn how to use our MRP system (Process Pro).

  • Strong customer-facing service skills.

  • Communicate effectively (written and oral) with multiple departments.

  • Independent worker but can work well in a team environment as well. Must be able to troubleshoot and solve problems that are not always evident.

  • Detailed-oriented.
