Robert Half Medical Front Desk Specialist in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description

Robert Half is supporting a growing medical practice who is looking to add to their front office team. This position is a long-term contract opportunity that involves working with various medical software systems such as Allscripts and Medisoft, among others. The primary function of this role is to manage the front desk operations of a medical facility, which includes patient registration, record keeping, and scheduling appointments.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize EHR System and other medical software to manage patient records and appointments

• Handle the registration process for new and existing patients, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date

• Maintain an organized and efficient front desk, addressing any inquiries or concerns from patients or staff

• Use Medisoft software for various billing functions and to manage patient accounts

• Coordinate with medical professionals and administrative staff to ensure smooth operation of the front desk

• Implement insurance procedures and policies, verifying patient insurance details when necessary

• Ensure patient records are confidential and secured, complying with all regulatory standards

• Schedule patient appointments, managing changes or cancellations as needed

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and resolving any issues promptly

• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance patient experience.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the health care industry

• Proficiency in using EHR System and Medisoft is required

• Familiarity with various medical software is essential

• Must have prior experience with insurance procedures and protocols

• Experience in a medical front office setting is a must

• Ability to efficiently handle patient registration and maintain patient records

• Experience as a patient registrar is preferred

• Must have the ability to schedule patient appointments effectively and efficiently

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary

• Candidates should be detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively

• A high degree of professionalism and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality is required

• Knowledge of medical terminologies and procedures is preferred

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer software is necessary.
