Insight Global Mainframe Programmer in Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Description

A large financial organization is seeking a Mainframe Developer that will sit hybrid onsite in Cincinnati Ohio.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with the line of business to design solutions to incorporate software changes and effectively work with business partners to ensure effective implementation

Work closely with product owner and Operational business partners to ensure that user stories have enough specificity and clarity to develop effectively and meet customer needs.

Follow industry and organizational best practices and standards to implement and maintain new features and capabilities while continuously improving the quality of our technical products and services

Achieve operational excellence by automating processes and creating maintainable, supportable, and testable solutions

Participate in Application Production Support environment/incidents

Strong problem-solving and communication skills in a highly-collaborative environment

Results driven, attention to detail, ability to work independently

Agile/scrum Experience -- participate in daily scrum calls and other agile ceremonies

Execute change management practices to promote changes

Working hours: Generally speaking 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm

Other duties as required

Skills and Requirements

Experience with IBM Mainframe technologies (TSO/Roscoe, COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, SAS,Debug)

Demonstrated experience in key IT Service Management areas (Incident, Problem, Knowledge and Change Management)

Familiarity with networking concepts and requesting network services: Routing, Firewalls, NATs, etc.

Working knowledge of real-time messaging and batch file transfer implementation and troubleshooting using different packages and methodologies (MQ, FTP, SCP, Sterling, etc)

Experience with application databases in Oracle, MS-SQL and DB2 IT experience Wholesale payment industry experience is a plus

Experience working with the ACH -- PEP+ application a plus

PEP+ is our ACH processing platform/application

Knowledge of ACH / NACHA payments processing null
