The Incidental Findings Navigator is an individual educated in clinical expertise as an Imaging Professional (Mammographer, Sonographer, Radiographer, MRI, CT, Nuc Med) and/or Clinical Nurse that has acquired training, knowledge and clinical skills in the management of Incidental Findings and the ability to navigate the complex academic health system. The Incidental Findings Navigator will serve as a coordinator for appropriate follow up with patients, their provider and their care team following incidental and/or concerning findings on Radiology procedures/exams. This person provides consultation, collaboration, coordination and support to patients as outlined below.
