GENERAL FUNCTION: EWS departmental subject matter expert that leads the strategic development and implementation of assigned conceptual ground up and renovation projects and/or complex programs that consist of multiple interrelated data driven streams of information resulting in a shared goal or outcome. Responsible to ensure all work efforts support the strategic objectives of Fifth Third Bancorp, EWS and line of business goals. Responsible for leading scope development, risk analysis, sourcing, scheduling, sequencing and assembling appropriate resources to meet all requirements efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will possess highly skilled consulting capabilities and exceptional ability to synthesize vast quantities of information from multiple sources into succinct reports ultimately possessing the skill to present the strategic outcome to executives. They will be the primary liaison with the internal LOB customers and stakeholders on behalf of the EWS department to communicate information and future workflow

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Builds and maintains strategic alliances, both within and outside the organization, to effectively influence and direct others to achieve business solutions. Interfaces with internal and external resources to bring best practices and exchange information. Collaborates with cross functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive solutions.

  • Manages and directs 3rd party resources and teams to meet objectives of complex, cross-organizational, and/or strategic programs.

  • Collaborates and acts as primary integrator across EWS teams such as Real Estate Manager, Relationship Managers, Property Portfolio Manager, Design and Security Bancorp support groups such as Sourcing and Technology to deliver turn-key solutions within defined initiative parameters.

  • Identifies key stakeholders & gains active participation; maintains multi-functional team relationships.

  • Assesses the impacts of the scope and organizational change of the combined projects throughout the timeline of the program, including implementation of outcomes, training and communication.

  • Develops project management controls for spanning complex multi-departmental boundaries.

  • Monitors program financial performance to maintain the quality of services, deliverables and content within proposed budget; verifies compliance with corporate financial practices.

  • Actively manages the preparation of the project or program budget.

  • Identifies and negotiates overall schedules and resources required to meet program objectives.

  • Organizes and leads program operations through the use of methodologies approved by the enterprise.

  • Evaluates and reports progress in terms of quality, financial and performance metrics.

  • Manages scope change, communications, issues and risks, and organizational change across interrelated projects to meet all project and program objectives.

  • Provides matrixed direction and leadership to all project team participants.

  • Identifies, establishes, and communicates overall objectives, priorities, and deadlines of interrelated projects. Leads a cross-functional team of professionals to accomplish overall program goals and strategies.

  • Guides and performs the duties of the supplier management role for all 3rd party service providers performing built work services including monitoring, measuring and holding 3rd party providers accountable to deliver on KPI's.

  • Ensure strict adherence to the Communication Plan and Project Playbook to maintain a consistent delivery of projects.

  • Presents holistic solutions to senior line of business leaders and executives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads third party consultants and service providers against stated Key Performance Indicators, critical path schedule review, sourcing strategy, program priorities, communication plan and documented process adherence.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 7 years leading cross functional professional services teams.

  • Knowledge and/or experience of construction, facilities management and/or corporate real estate would be a significant asset.

  • BA/BS construction management, real estate, project management degree required or equivalent experience.

  • Exceptional financial, analytical, negotiating, problem solving and influencing skills are essential.

  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into succinct, user friendly information packets is essential.

  • Proven ability to plan and manage multiple initiatives within a program simultaneously.

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong positive relationships on recurring basis.

  • Strong ability to estimate all commercial project types and contribute to overall department savings targets.

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills with high degree of "stage presence".

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Champions change and maintain awareness of changing demands to respond accordingly; challenges current and proposed processes; embraces change and encourages its acceptance.

  • Leverages differences and fosters an inclusive environment to achieve better business results.

  • Healthy curiosity to seek out best practices and ability to translate into applicability for Fifth Third Bank.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Capabilities of Microsoft Office software, including Project, OneNote, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Visio.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.

  • Extended viewing of CRT screen.

  • Client facing recurrently.

  • Overnight travel often required.

Total Base Pay Range 94,500.00 - 189,400.00 USD Annual
