POSITION SUMMARY: This position will exercise independent judgement to clarify and support tasks to facilitate decision making. Additionally, they will provide technical expertise as a member of an agile, multidisciplinary team of Scientists, Engineers, and Model Makers. The successful candidate will be comfortable designing and implementing integrated solutions that include digital, analog, and software elements. The ability to work with consultants and suppliers to implement solutions will be required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Define requirements and implement a platform for developing and evaluating novel ablation algorithms Support efforts to identify and optimize novel RF ablation algorithms using rapidly modifiable software, such as LabView Participate in Voice of the Customer planning, collection, and analysis Plan and conduct hands-on experimental work (bench, in vitro and in vivo) to evaluate device prototypes Collaborate with Product Development teams to transition projects/concepts into Design Control Prepare presentations and/or reports in support of R&D activities Stay current with latest relevant technology through literature, seminars, and conferences ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Regular and predictable work performance Ability to work under fast-paced conditions Ability to make decisions and use good judgment Ability to prioritize various duties and multitask as required Ability to successfully work with others Additional duties as assigned BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: BSEE + 3 years of experience in electrical engineering Experience in developing analog and digital designs and prototypes Experience with embedded C, C, LabView or similar software languages Demonstrated initiative to solve complex technical problems Be comfortable collaborating with clinicians to identify unmet needs and solutions.
