Job Description:
Project/Program Manager
- Type: 6+ month Contract
- Rate: 45/hr -- 65/hr
- Location: Remote - Cincinnati, OH - EST
(Preference will be given to candidates already in the Cincinnati, OH area)
Specific Responsibilities include:
Managing and Coordinating multiple projects within Commercial Customer Portals, these projects include:
- MyCFM: Work efforts involving both companies
- All Portals: Applications and Experiences within Portals as well as teams external to Portals.
- Cyber & Compliance: Managing plans and actions as it relates to cyber and compliance concerns. These are often unscheduled asks which require communication between multiple teams.
PMO: Providing input as needed to the Program Management Office.
Role Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS365 suite of products including Outlook, Excel, PPT.
- Experience with Microsoft Project.
- Beneficial but not required: SharePoint, Miro.
Project Management Skills:
- Understanding of IT or Digital Technology project management and business project management.
- Ability to manage end-to-end program management.
Soft Skills:
- Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work.
- Proactive communication and issue tracking.
- Coordination of multiple groups and people towards a common goal.
- Ability to work remotely across time zones.
- Effective communication of project needs and ideas to different audiences.
- Note-taking during meetings and disbursement of notes online and via email.
- Sharing progress towards goals concisely and consistently.
- Creating RACI charts for each project/program.
Methodologies:
- Comfortable running projects in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Experience:
- 5+ years of Project/Program Manager experience.
- Experience with Digital/Portal/IT projects.
- Comfortable with end-to-end project management from business requirements to user acceptance testing.
- Experience with application development/portal work.
Certifications:
- PMP Certification is beneficial but not required.
Tools:
- Familiarity with Smartsheets (preferred) and MS Excel.
Core Principles:
Standard Work and Operating Cadences: Setting and following a set cadence and method for project management which is inclusive of all individuals involved. Define execution standards and processes.
Daily & Visual Management: Providing visual indicators of progress towards goals and when not on track working with the team to take appropriate measures to review and adjust as needed.
Action Planning and Project Management: Using available tools to map out short- and long-term project and program activities that are agreed to by participants, including issue/action management.
RACI: Apply the RACI model to work activities, and ensure there is accountability and ownership for each task.
Manages project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project.
Defines execution standards and processes to be followed by all project managers within the program or department.
Collaborates with functional owner(s), project technical team(s), project managers within program and interdependencies teams.
Manages stakeholder communication and progress reporting at various
