Job Overview The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College seeks applications for one tenure-track assistant professor of communication position to teach first- and second-year communication courses.The English & Communication Department is actively engaged in promoting equity and inclusion in communication courses. Essential Functions Teaching a 4/4 load of courses, including but not limited to Introduction to Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Business Communication, and first and second-year communication electives. Participating in program assessment and curriculum development. Participating in department, college, and university service, such as serving on the department student awards committee, the department DEI committee, the college technology committee, and/or the college faculty development committee. Engaging in professional and scholarly activities such as presentations at scholarly venues, publication in relevant professional publications, or other scholarly methods of disseminating knowledge. Minimum Requirements Prior to effective date of appointment, all of the following are required: * A PhD in communication or a closely related field. * At least three academic years of experience teaching communication at the college level.
