LOCATION:Chili Facility

SUMMARY:The Organizational Development Manager, plans, develops, implements and administers development and ongoing programs for company employees. The manager also acts as liaison and advisor to the organization’s leadership and facilitates initiatives across the organization. This position reports to Director of Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Directs the needs assessment for non-production staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.

  • Identifies and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans.

  • Designs and develops HR training programs for management and employees.

  • Develops learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans.

  • Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives and accomplishments.

  • Makes assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance.

  • Trains employees on best practices to reduce HR issues and educate on proactive trainings by using the ELI Training model. ELI Training certified.

  • Consults with HR Director on trainings related to performance management, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.

  • Responsible for the Mentoring program initiatives for APC.

  • Works directly with the HR Director to identify ongoing focus on Succession Planning process; utilization of 360 assessment, Franklin Covey Training, Mojo Professional consulting.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven effective management skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Adapt with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.

  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in training and development or organizational development or equivalent from four -year college preferred. With three years related experience and/or training; and at least one year of management experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience designing and implementing effective training and development programs. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential, preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
