We are offering a contract opportunity for an In-House Paralegal in the utilities/infrastructure industry. This role is onsite with a future hybrid potential in Chino, California. The selected candidate will be expected to provide comprehensive legal assistance, primarily focusing on litigation support. The role involves working with, subpoenas, pleadings, pre-trial motions, as well as partnering with outside counsel for specialized needs. Additionally, this candidate will support contract review, redlining, and drafting, compliance and other legal functions.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation and processing of legal documents related to litigation

• Utilizing Case Management Software to maintain accurate records of all legal activities

• Managing calendars to ensure all legal deadlines are met in a timely manner

• Offering support in briefing and preparing for trial

• Collaborating with outside counsel on specialized legal needs

• Administering claims and ensuring all relevant documentation is correctly filed

• Working on PRAS and preparing subpoenas, pleadings, and pre-trial motions

• Utilizing Adobe Acrobat and CompuLaw in the execution of tasks

• Providing comprehensive support in the execution of billing functions

• Ensuring effective communication across all levels within the organization.

Requirements • Possess strong proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for document management purposes.

• Demonstrable experience in using Case Management Software to streamline legal processes.

• Proficiency in CompuLaw for effective case scheduling and risk management.

• Experience in handling Billing Functions within a legal department or law firm.

• Ability to prepare comprehensive legal briefings.

• Excellent skills in Calendar Management to organize and schedule meetings and appointments.

• Experience in Claim Administration, including filing, tracking, and managing legal claims.

• Outstanding communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
