Honeywell Advanced System Engineer in Chickasaw, Alabama
Key Responsibilities
The Advanced Systems Engineer provides technical support for ensuring that the automation and controls technology at the plant is applied efficiently and drives optimal process performance.
This role is responsible for the selection, deployment, configuration, monitoring, and optimization of regulatory, supervisory and advanced controls and matching the plant processes with the most appropriate control schemes.
Responsibilities
Responsible for DCS, PLC, PI and PHD systems including configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Performs Experion FTE configuration and maintenance.
Configure Experion Station Operator graphics.
Follow established standards for DCS controls and graphics configuration.
Utilize virtual Experion system for testing and troubleshooting of major configuration or system changes.
Responsible for insuring proper backup schedule is maintained for all DCS systems.
Perform security and operating system patches on all PCN equipment.
Provide technical expertise on capital projects that require automation.
Responsible for PI and PHD system administration including tag creation and system performance.
Ensure proper documents are created for new control configurations including loop sheets and interconnect diagrams
Manage the Honeywell Wireless system.
Participates in activities and carries out assignments in the technology.
Performs loop tuning to reduce product variability.
Performs routine Automation work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
Perform Operator training for new project implementation or major control changes.
Follow all HSE and EMOC processes and procedures.
Respond to after hour calls for Process Control issues
PCN infrastructure including Cisco switch hardware maintenance and upgrades

YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, software, controls engineer or similar engineering or 5 years in equivalent technology
Understanding of sensors, actuators and field instrumentation
Familiar with Honeywell Experion and TDC systems
Knowledge of Chemical manufacturing process and process troubleshooting
Planning and problem-solving skills Communication and interpersonal skills
